How Does Wellsmith Work with My Employee Health Benefits?

Employee Health Benefits enrollment season is coming to a close at Cone Health, which has many wondering – is Wellsmith still covered under my Employee Benefit Plan? Do I need to enroll in the 2020 Wellsmith program?

Good news: Wellsmith is still covered under all Cone Health Employee Benefit Plans, AND you don’t need to re-enroll for 2020. Simply stay on Wellsmith and keep working toward your health goals.

If you actively participated in Wellsmith for a minimum of 12-weeks this year, you may save money on your 2020 health plan! Wellsmith is one of the wellness programs for type 2 diabetes management, and by being an active participant on Wellsmith, your $30 premium increase may be waived. For more details, speak to your Cone Health Employee Benefits Manager.

If you want to change health plans this benefit season, here’s the details on how Wellsmith works with Choice, Save, and Focus Plans.

  • Choice Plan: With Wellsmith, you’ll receive diabetes medication, glucose test strips, and lancets at no cost to you.
  • Save Plan:  With Wellsmith, you’ll receive reduced costs on your diabetes medications, glucose test strips, and lancets until your deductible is met. Then, medications, glucose test strips, and lancets will come at no cost to you.
  • Focus Plan: With Wellsmith, you’ll receive diabetes medication, glucose test strips, and lancets at no cost to you.
